Matthew Jones tem um flashback em que encontra os cultistas no meio do deserto na sua juventude como jornalista investigativo no Oriente Médio. Eles estavam tentando invocar o Ignat-Var, mas foram impedidos pela equipe de Matthew, incluido George Mertens, o qual trouxe a ruína de todos.
"É a minha função lhe agradecer Matthew. Se você não estivesse tão interessado naqueles homens do deserto, jamais teríamos completado nossa função.
