Stefan's Desert
I used Balaur's "Sonoran Desert" as a starting point, and did very little tweaking to get it to my liking. I added a very faint wind on top of everything to avoid any complete silence, and adjusted the volume and frequency of the animal sounds to taste.
My sweet spot for those "barks" is to be just distinctly audible in the midst of the wind, and just frequent enough that it doesn't sound out of the ordinary every time they sound. I try to keep things very flat in volume so nothing is distracting.
